Convert your videos to iPod-friendly formats

As the name suggests, Videora iPod Converter is a free application to convert your favorite videos to an iPod-friendly format. Last time Cyril reviewed this program, he wasn't very impressed, so we were interested to know if a brand new version would bring any major improvements.

It doesn't. In fact, it's hard to see what changes have been made, while all the previous criticisms - the persistent ads, vague options and user-unfriendly interface - remain. In its favor, Videora iPod Converter does convert various video formats so that they can be used on a whole variety of video-enabled iPods.

Videora iPod Converter operates in two modes, one for beginners and one for more advanced users, and has a nice auto-shutdown feature for when you want to queue up a number of conversions and leave the computer to finish them off. Videora iPod Converter also automatically adds the converted videos to iTunes.

Unfortunately, you'll have a hard time getting that far. Regardless of which user mode you use, Videora iPod Converter is messy and boring to configure. Normal Mode suffers from those vague options we mentioned - "Old" or "New" video format, for example - while Power Mode requires you to mess around with profiles in the Settings area.

Vague and full of ads, I wouldn't bother with Videora iPod Converter.
